Obverse: [MANVHΛ] - ΔECΠOTH [Manuel Despotes]. Manuel I. steht in Gewand und Mantel (chlamys) und mit Krone in der Vorderansicht. Er hält in der r. Hand ein Feldzeichen (labarum) und in der l. Hand einen Globus (sphaira) mit Patriarchenkreuz.
Reverse: Die Jungfrau Maria mit Nimbus sitzt auf einem Thron ohne Lehnen in der Vorderansicht, vor ihre Brust hält sie den Kopf des Christuskindes mit Nimbus. Beiderseits MHP - ΘV. MHP ligiert.
